The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with RUFORUM, is organizing a webinar on Strengthening Academic Collaboration through the FAO eLearning Academy.
The webinar will explore opportunities for universities and academic institutions to integrate FAO eLearning Academy resources into academic programmes and strengthen collaboration in areas including forestry, food security, nutrition, and agrifood systems transformation.
The FAO eLearning Academy offers free, multilingual, and certified online courses that support capacity development for professionals, students, and institutions globally. With nearly two million learners worldwide, the platform contributes to strengthening competencies for agrifood systems transformation.
Key areas of focus include:
- Access to FAO’s free, multilingual, certified online courses
- Integration of FAO learning resources into university curricula
- Forestry-related learning opportunities, including the Forest Monitoring for Climate Action series
- Knowledge exchange and collaboration between universities, academic networks, and FAO experts
