Visiting Scientist
Dr. Moussa Massaoudou is a scientist specialized in forest ecology. He worked for 10 years at the National Institute for Agronomic Research of Niger (INRAN) as a researcher, where he led a research team and designed and coordinated several research and development projects. Since 2022, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at Dan Dicko Dankoulodo University of Maradi, contributing to teaching, academic supervision, and scientific research in forestry. In February 2025, he joined the African Forest Forum (AFF) Secretariat, where he is involved as a Visiting Scientist and Programme Officer. He is currently working on the African REDD+ mechanism, forest restoration, policy and finance, and biodiversity conservation in collaboration with UN entities, including UNFF, UNEP, and FAO.
